Brief & Approach
Research showed many sole traders saw QuickBooks as a “one and done” tool, not an ongoing partner. To change perception, we collaborated with four influencers embedded in the freelance and sole-trader community. Together we produced a playful TikTok series imagining dystopian futures where tech went hilariously wrong – the punchline being that the real fix for business chaos is QuickBooks.

We managed to convince our camera operator to fly a drone indoors, which proved worthwhile.

4.9M views on Mark Marshall’s post (shown, top), with a combined reach of 5.4M+ across all four creators.
Engagement that far outperformed benchmarks, with overwhelmingly positive follower sentiment.
QuickBooks re-framed not as a utility, but as the smart, reliable partner helping sole traders “do business differently.”
